Product Overview
The Polatrak® The CP Gun is designed for situations where a few contact CP readings are required. The unit has twin elements for real-time self calibration, and dual ultra-bright LED readouts for use in dark waters or strong currents, where visibility is low. These standard Polatrak features provide an unparalleled level of accuracy and redundancy.The Polatrak CP Gun is rated for use in depths up to 1000 feet (300 meters). The unit has a convenient power-switch and operates on two 9 Volt alkaline batteries. This combination will allow the user to stretch the 4 week battery life over an entire dive season.
The CP Gun kit comes complete with operating and calibration instructions and a comprehensive supply of spare parts. Additional parts and spares are available from Deepwater, or at cpprobes.com.
Interchangeable Cu/CuSO4 reference electrode elements are also now available for the GP Gun. This means that the instrument can now be used in fresh and brackish water environments, such as rivers, lakes and water tanks. Electrode stability is guaranteed for up to 7 days of continuous survey operation in fresh water (life will be shorter in brackish water).
The plug-in electrodes can be used in combination with the standard Ag/AgCl electrode to maintain the unique on-line calibration feature of all Polatrak C.P Probes. This new feature when used in combination with the ultra-bright LED readouts makes this an ideal tool for low or zero visibility river survey applications.
